ABOUT
First Christian was first established on April 24, 1869. The church has weathered 150 years of change in Moberly including a fire that severely burned the church in 1934. It was rebuilt to be a cornerstone of local history, literally at the corner of Coates and Morley, two of Moberly's main streets. Today, the First Christian Church family continues to serve the community by it's outreach and discipleship. The congregation is currently working through a study on the book "Who Broke My Church?" The goal is to learn how to strengthen our church, our community and our families through GOD's ever abiding love.

Pastor Jay Self
Pastor Self, or just Jay to those of us that know and love him, has served First Christan Church for over 20 years. He and his wonderful, talented wife Debbie live in the Columbia area. Jay is well known for his love of old vehicles and his funny, after the fact, mishaps. His weekly sermon is always a message of guidance. His leadership has been defined by his open hearted willingness to share GOD's love and to help his fellow human beings.
